Modernization of Cegléd wastewater plant

In the EU-Hungary co-financed project, in addition to raw and surplus biological sludge produced at the sewage treatment plant in Cegléd, biogas is produced from dehydrated or compressed sludge supplied from smaller wastewater treatment plants operated by BÁCSVÍZ Zrt. We have built our own designed sludge receiving and mixing station, ensuring the reception, preparation and dispatch of external organic materials, other sewage treatment plant sludge for putrefaction.

Main indicators:

• Daily at least 1000 Nm³ fermentors providing biogas production capacity and further increase of biogas production
• Integrated gas reservoirs providing increased biogas storage individually 850 m³ by net volume
• 80 kW gas engine unit generating electricity (2 pcs) with island mode
• 200 kW boiler with thermal center for the production of hot water for heating purposes
• Creating a diverse range of organic materials to increase your own energy production in the future
