Nagisz industrial wastewater treatment plant renovation

At the Nagisz (Nádudvar) industrial wastewater treatment plant, a multi-stage reconstruction program was implemented in the years following 2022.

The plant was originally built around 2005, and by 2022 several mechanical units required refurbishment. As a result, the flotation units were renovated, and the aeration system was refurbished in several phases. On the flotation units, the chain scrapers were replaced because wear and elongation had reduced efficiency and operational reliability. In the biological basins, the disc diffuser aeration system was also significantly worn; membrane failures caused sludge accumulation in the piping. As part of the reconstruction, the systems in both basins were cleaned, faulty pipelines were replaced, and all air diffusers received new membranes.

Thanks to these interventions, aeration efficiency improved significantly, the plant’s energy consumption decreased, and operational reliability increased.
