Our role
We designed, built, and commissioned an anaerobic sludge fermentation system for biogas production, treatment, and utilization.
01
The client
Our client was the Municipality of Cegléd. Cegléd's wastewater treatment plant has a biological capacity of 39,020 population equivalent (PE) and a nominal hydraulic capacity of 6,700 m3/day.
02
What we did
Our company designed and built the entire sludge line and biogas plant, and supervised the commissioning trial run. The main elements of our work: InwaFerm fermenters delivering at least 1,000 Nm3/day of biogas production capacity, with headroom for further output growth. Integrated gas storage tanks with 850 m3 net volume each, for increased biogas storage. Two 80 kW gas engine CHP units capable of island-mode operation. A 200 kW boiler heating station producing hot water for heating purposes. A reception facility capable of accepting a range of organic feedstocks.
Outcome
The completed biogas facility increases the plant's self-sufficiency and enables efficient use of organic waste generated in the surrounding area.
