Key benefits
With more than 65 years of experience and the world's widest mixer portfolio, SUMA offers a reliable, energy-efficient solution for nearly every slurry and biogas handling task.
01
Flexible installation, tiltable design
The GIANTMIX FR series' long-axis agitators can be installed in both closed and open tanks, in the 4–18.5 kW power range. The tiltable design allows fine-tuning of the mixing angle after installation, letting the unit be optimally adapted to the tank's geometry and the material's characteristics. This flexibility provides broader applicability than fixed-mount mixing systems.
02
Effective mixing even with high dry-matter content
The GIANTMIX FX and AMX series offer energy-efficient agitators fitted with large-diameter, 1,200–1,600 mm propellers. The large propeller diameter enables efficient, low-energy movement of dense, high-dry-matter-content media — such as concentrated slurry or fermentation residue. This ensures reliable mixing even in applications where conventional agitators' efficiency would drop significantly.
03
Purpose-built for lagoon applications
The GIANTMIX BG2 series was developed specifically for mixing open lagoon storage, in the 4–10 kW power range. The model's design accounts for the varying geometry of lagoons and the characteristics of the material stored in them, ensuring even mixing free of layered sediment build-up. This purpose-built approach delivers a longer lifespan and more reliable operation than using a general-purpose agitator for the same task.
04
Compact design, smaller footprint
The REKORDMIX series offers compact-design agitators that deliver reliable mixing performance even with a smaller footprint. This is particularly advantageous at sites with limited available space, or where the mixing system needs to be retrofitted into existing infrastructure. The compact size comes with no compromise on mixing efficiency, making it just as reliable a solution for smaller-scale projects.
Applications
When is it the right choice?
SUMA's long-axis agitators can be used in fermenters, secondary fermenters, repositories, and pre-pits alike — in closed and open, concrete and steel tanks, as well as in lagoons and slalom channels. Selecting the right model depends on the tank type, size, and the dry matter content of the material being processed.
