Biogas Storage Systems

Buffered biogas evens out the time gap between production and use. This means gas engines and other energy utilisation equipment receive a continuous gas supply even when production fluctuates periodically. The result is more stable, predictable energy production for the entire plant.

The storage tank's outer membrane provides protection against weather effects and UV radiation. The inner membrane flexibly expands and contracts according to the volume of biogas produced, adapting to daily production fluctuations. A continuously running blower keeps the space between the two membranes under slight overpressure, which preserves the shape of the storage tank and ensures stable pressure conditions toward the gas network.

The dual-membrane storage tanks are manufactured in Hungary, so there's no need to factor in long intercontinental shipping times. This enables faster procurement and a shorter construction timeline for the project as a whole. European manufacturing also ensures simpler spare parts supply and faster servicing throughout the system's entire lifespan.

Every storage tank is sized after biogas purification, based on the specific site's individual requirements. We take into account the daily production profile, available space, and the characteristics of downstream energy utilisation. This ensures the tank is neither undersized nor oversized, optimising both capital and operating costs.
