Our role

As main contractor, we designed, permitted and installed the activated carbon tank (adsorber).

01

The client

Our client was the Municipality of Dunafalva. The waterworks is operated by Bajavíz Kft.

02

What we did

Bentazone, a herbicide, had entered the production wells of the public water supply from a still unknown source, at concentrations close to and at times above the limit, so a quick solution was needed. We reviewed the existing treatment process and installed a purpose-built mobile activated carbon filter with a capacity of 100 m3/h and a usable volume of 20 m3, filled with W4A OS activated carbon.

Outcome

Immediately after commissioning, the adsorber brought the bentazone concentration below the detection limit.
