Heineken Hungária
We have operated the anaerobic biological wastewater treatment facility at Heineken Hungária Sörgyárak Zrt.'s Sopron site since its 2009 commissioning trial run. Alongside wastewater treatment, the facility also produces, desulfurizes, and utilizes biogas.

Our role
We have operated Heineken Hungária Sörgyárak Zrt.'s anaerobic biological wastewater treatment and biogas facilities since the commissioning trial run in 2009.
01
The client
HEINEKEN Hungária Sörgyárak Zrt., the Hungarian subsidiary of the HEINEKEN Group, is one of the leading players in the Hungarian beer market, backed by a century and a half of brewing experience and internationally recognized brands.
02
The facilities
Heineken Hungária Sörgyárak Zrt.'s facility is an anaerobic biological wastewater treatment plant with a capacity of 2,700 m3/day. The plant is complemented by a sludge line and a biogas facility. From the 350,000–400,000 m3 of biogas produced each year, we generate around 2,400 MWh of thermal steam, which the brewery uses directly in its production process. The facilities were designed and built by our sister company, Inwatech Kft. When we were founded in 2021, we took over a number of our sister company's projects and areas of activity, including this one.
Outcome
We have operated Heineken Hungária's wastewater treatment plant and biogas facility since 2009, delivering a high standard of operational reliability for our client. A team of seven handles operations 365 days a year.
