Our role
As a member of the consortium, our sister company INWATECH Ltd. carried out the permit and detailed design, supplied and installed the main process units, delivered the complete biogas line, ran the trial operation and provided full engineering services.
01
The client
Our client was the Municipality of Mosonmagyaróvár. The plant is operated by AQUA Szolgáltató Kft.
02
The facility
The 8,600 m3/day (98,333 PE) plant was upgraded between 2012 and 2014. Sludge is treated in two Weltec digesters; the resulting 2,050 Nm3 of biogas a day is used in a combined heat and power unit with 250 kW of electrical output, feeding the electricity back into the grid. Dewatered sludge is dried in a Solartiger solar drying hall, and three biofilters handle odour control. During the consortium delivery, the existing biological tanks were converted while the plant stayed in continuous operation, and the Weltec digester controls were integrated into the plant's SCADA system. We took over the reference from our sister company when Water4All was founded in 2021 and took on its biogas business.

Outcome
The upgrade increased the plant's capacity, delivered energy savings, reduced operating costs and ensures compliance with discharge limits.
