Our role

At the industrial wastewater treatment plant in Nádudvar, we carried out a multi-phase treatment reconstruction program in the years following 2022.

01

The client

The Nagisz Group is a major player in Hungarian agriculture, active in crop production, livestock farming, compound feed manufacturing, and the dairy and meat products market.

02

What we did

Wastewater from the meat and dairy plant is treated at this facility, which was commissioned in 2006. Designed and built by our sister company, Inwatech Kft., the treatment plant had aged to the point where several mechanical units needed renewal by 2022. This led us to refurbish the flotation units and, over several stages, the aeration system. On the flotation equipment responsible for physico-chemical treatment, we replaced the chain scrapers, since wear and stretching had degraded both efficiency and operational reliability. The disc aeration system in the biological tanks had also deteriorated significantly — membrane ruptures had allowed sludge to clog the piping. As part of the reconstruction, we cleaned the system in both tanks, replaced the damaged pipework, and fitted every diffuser head with a new membrane.

Outcome

Thanks to our interventions, aeration efficiency improved significantly, the plant's energy consumption decreased, and operational reliability increased.
