02
What we did
To maintain and improve operational reliability, Szegedi Vízmű Zrt. carried out a reconstruction of the biogas flares at the Szeged municipal wastewater treatment plant, each rated at 1,600 kW nominal capacity. The overhaul became necessary due to technical wear accumulated since the equipment's commissioning in 2006. We carried out a complete refurbishment, installing a modern combustion control system compliant with current regulations.
Outcome
As a result of the overhaul, the system's stability and safety were restored, and the operator is now able to flare hydrogen sulfide gases, preventing their release into the environment.
