Development of the Szerencs municipal wastewater treatment plant: a sludge centre and biogas system, with a regional sludge hub.
Our role
Between 2022 and 2025, our sister company, INWATECH Ltd., designed the sludge centre. From 2025 to 2027 we are handling the permitting and detailed design of the biogas system, preparation for operation, the trial run and the maintenance manual. We are delivering this project in collaboration with our sister company, INWATECH Ltd.

The client was the Municipality of Szerencs. The plant is operated by Borsodvíz Zrt..

What we did
The project covers the development of the wastewater treatment plant and the creation of a regional sludge hub. The sludge centre is designed to treat the sludge produced at the Szerencs municipal wastewater treatment plant and to use the resulting biogas.
